Third grade is a year of exciting growth! Students build strong foundational skills in reading, writing, and math while developing confidence, creativity, and critical thinking. - Fundations strengthens phonics and spelling with word recognition

Lexia offers personalized reading support; goal is to complete Level 15 with 80%+ accuracy at each level by the end of third grade

🎨 Exploratory Classes
Students attend weekly exploratory classes including music, art, technology, physical education, and health. They also participate in weekly book exchanges at the school library media center. These experiences enrich their learning and make school more meaningful and engaging.
A Day in Third Grade*
- 8:40am: student entry and morning meeting
- Exploratory
- Morning Core Academic Block: Math and Fundations
- Lunch & Recess
- Afternoon Core Academic Block: reading and either science or social studies
- 3:00pm: Wrap-up activities and dismissal

What Do Students Need for Third Grade?
Here is the Grade 3 Supply List:
- Hard pencil box to hold personal supplies
- Crayons
- Pencils (Ticonderoga recommended, some sharpened if possible)
- 10 dry erase markers (fine point)
- Pack of Glue sticks
- 1 wide-ruled composition notebook
- Headphones for computer work (please label them)
- Optional: computer mouse for the Chromebook to make it easier for smaller hands to navigate
